Tattoos are very hip nowadays. There was a time when a tattoo was frowned upon by the public. A time when having one meant people consider you different. A tough cookie, a rebel. On a woman it meant then, that she’s tougher than most. Some would gather that she loves adventure and possibly with compromised morals. That was why for a time, a tattoo on a woman is called a tramp stamp. Women’s worst tattoo mistakes then might have been getting one in the first place. But that was then.
Many people are drawn to tattoos not just because they are pretty. Tattoos symbolizes individuality and uniqueness. If a man wants to be different, this is one way to achieve that. Bonus points that it could be done where and how you want to be different.
But some people got more than they bargained for. There are a lot of people getting tattoos that it is fairly certain to have mistakes from getting inked. Some of the most common mistakes are misspelled ones. Or cosmetic tattoos; eyebrows, eyeliner, lip tattoos. Women’s worst tattoo mistakes would not be so bad had it been on a part of their body they can cover up. But most of the time, these mistakes tend to be very visible.Like Emma Watson’s ink ‘Times up’ without the apostrophe.
Imagine getting inked for the first time. You have thought very long and hard about the picture or pattern you are going to have. You end up with a misspelled tattoo. Or a portrait of a loved one, with expectation and reality so far from each other, it’s not even funny.
The worst part of it is, you can’t alter it right after you see how bad it is. Sure, you can have it laser removed but it might take a few weeks before you could. The skin needs to heal first before you could have it removed.
The worst mistake would have to be the health risk getting a tattoo poses. Having needles jab at the epidermis opens up the skin. Some people get an allergic reaction from the dyes. A tattoo can also cover melanoma or symptoms of skin cancer, make it harder to detect. So getting a tattoo opens up the risk of a bad phrase, picture or eyebrows or worse an illness/disease you can contract or worse an illness that does not get diagnosed until it’s too late.
